A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of raping a girl under the age of 16.
Curtis Otley, 19, of Stockwood, did not enter a plea during an appearance at Bristol Magistrates' Court earlier.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 20 March.
Police said they had carried out investigations at a property in Stockwood, south Bristol, following Mr Otley's arrest on 16 February.
Officers are conducting patrols in the area to offer reassurance to the community, a spokesperson added.
