People throw balls at acts at new Bristol comedy night

A comedy club has come up with a new way for people to show their displeasure at performers.

Comedy Loft in Bristol will provide comedians with a Velcro shirt to wear while they deliver their material.

Those watching can then throw soft balls at them if they do not like what they hear.

The comedian with the least balls stuck to them at the end of the night wins a cash prize.

But the event has attracted criticism with some saying it is "dehumanising".
