Barton House: Residents facing uncertainty after Bristol tower block evacuated

Residents of a tower block are unsure if they will be able to return to their homes after being evacuated over safety concerns.

Bristol City Council declared a major incident on Tuesday after "major structural faults" were discovered during building surveys at Barton House.

The council said the building would be unsafe in the event of a fire or explosion and more than 400 residents were told to leave their homes immediately.

Residents were told to pack enough clothes for "a day or two" but many, including Nuh Sharif, said they had "nowhere to go".
