The e-scooter operator TIER launched scooters in Bristol in October and has promised to roll out e-bikes

An electric scooter operator has announced it plans to roll out e-bikes in Bristol by the end of the year.

TIER took over as the official e-scooter provider for the city after the contract with Voi came to an end in October.

Part of the deal includes electric bikes and cargo bikes which have so far yet to be seen in Bristol.

A TIER spokesperson has confirmed the operator will launch e-bikes in Bristol soon.

"The aim is to have them on the streets by the end of the year," the spokesperson said.

"This is the first time that shared e-bikes will be available in Bristol at this scale, so there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes at the moment to ensure the launch goes smoothly."

The company said it is working closely with the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and Bristol City Council on the roll out.
