A passenger in a scaffolding lorry has died after it crashed into a central reservation and overturned.

Emergency services were called to the A4174 near Mangotsfield, on the edge of Bristol, around 17:25 GMT on Tuesday.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released under investigation.

The dual carriageway is closed in both directions between the Dramway and Siston Hill roundabouts.

South Gloucestershire Council said the road will remain closed until Thursday to allow for resurfacing of the carriageway and repairs to the vehicle restraint barrier.
