Claire Holland: Darren Osment admits murder in 999 call

A man has been found guilty of murdering his ex-partner, a decade after she disappeared.

In 2019 Darren Osment, 41, phoned 999 to say he murdered mother-of-four Claire Holland in 2012.

In the phone call, Osment said: "I'm handing myself in for murder mate."

He later retracted the confession, but a jury at Bristol Crown Court found him guilty of her murder after a two-month trial.

Ms Holland was last seen leaving a pub in the centre of Bristol on 6 June, 2012. Her body has never been found.
