Bristol police find stolen car full of Christmas gifts
- Published
Police say they hope the public can help reunite stolen Christmas presents with their rightful owners.
The wrapped gifts were found in the boot of a stolen car near Bristol city centre.
Avon and Somerset Police said the vehicle was reported to have been taken from the Redfield area at 10.25 GMT on 13 December, and was later found in Stokes Croft.
A man and a woman were arrested and then released on bail.
Inside the car were "several bags of wrapped Christmas presents", a police spokesman said.
"They are believed to have been stolen, possibly from other vehicles," he added.
"Most of the presents were labelled from "Debbie and Lee" or "Sarah, Rich, Max and Joe"."
Anyone who thinks the Christmas presents might be theirs or know who the people named on the labels are, is being asked to contact the police.
