Ashton Gate concerts: Mystery line-up for multi-artist gig

Ashton Gate has attracted a series of big concerts since the stadium was rebuilt

Bristol City's stadium will host its first ever multi-artist concert - with the line-up yet to be announced.

Ashton Gate, also home to the Bristol Bears, will host 10 back-to-back artists on two stages on Saturday, 22 June.

The first artists for the concert, dubbed Ashton Gate Presents BS3, will be announced on Monday, 8 January.

Venue Director Jenny Hutchinson said: "Our team has worked hard to curate this new show for the stadium."

She added: "Ashton Gate has hosted world-renowned acts such as Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Elton John, Muse and Spice Girls in recent years and we have fine-tuned our concert operation, teaming up with experts in the industry to ensure we deliver a truly spectacular concert.

"We are always proud to deliver memorable experiences for our audiences, so we are thrilled to be able to present our own show at the stadium.

"Ashton Gate Presents BS3 will lay the foundations for us to deliver more multi-artist shows in the future!"

A spokesperson for the stadium said the event "It represents our deep-rooted pride in our community".

They added the concert would bring "the biggest and most popular artists in the world to Bristol".
