More than 100 Ukrainian national costumes are the focus of a exhibition celebrating the country's culture.
The 'Ukraine Spirit of Resistance' event in Bristol will display traditional embroidered clothes, called Vyshyvanka, on Sunday.
The colourful embroidery is regarded as a key part of Ukrainian identity.
People attending will be able to see historical national costumes on loan from a museum in Bolton.
Organiser Olya said that since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the clothes have become an important symbol of resisting oppression for her people and culture.
"When you are denied your existence as a nation, when your identity comes under attack - promoting Vyshyvanka is one way of asserting yourself," she said.
"It's a way of protecting your identity and fighting back."
Many of the colourful tunics and dresses at the event at Redland Park United Reform Church are on loan from the Ukraine Allahorsk Museum in Bolton.
They came from the first generation of Ukrainians that settled in the UK after the Second World War.
Vintage costumes from areas that were recently occupied by Russian troops will also be included, as well as precious heirlooms that have been kept hidden in chests for decades.
A traditional belief in Ukraine says the design of the colourful outfits can be used as a talisman to protect the wearer and also tell a story.
Examples of Vyshyvankas will be featured in the show, alongside hand-embroidered garments depicting historical moments in Ukrainian history.
Olya hopes that by displaying the intricate embroidery, local people can learn more about Ukrainian culture.
"When people ask me why I am doing this, and what I'm hoping to achieve with this event, I just say be 'prepared to see the unexpected'," she said.
"Perhaps you've just discovered Ukraine recently or looking to learn more about the country.
"I hope that, with this show, those questions will be answered."
