The Bristol plane which landed on the River Severn

A man whose father was on board the Bristol Britannia when it crash-landed in a river, said those on board were "very lucky" to escape unharmed.

The plane, known as The Whispering Giant, made an emergency landing in the River Severn in 1954.

Bill Morgan has shared his dad's story as the aircraft's fuselage is put on display at Aerospace Bristol.
