The assault happened in a pub car park on Redwick Road
A man has died after being assaulted in a pub car park.
Scott Hendy was taken to Southmead Hospital after being seriously injured in Redwick Road, Pilning, near Bristol, on Saturday at about 00:15 GMT.
The 46-year-old died in hospital on Sunday, police said.
George Baylis, 29, of Redwick Road, Pilning, has been charged with manslaughter and was remanded into custody after appearing at Bristol Magistrates' Court earlier.
He is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 8 April.
