Police believe the three men pictured in the CCTV could aid their investigation

A CCTV image has been released by police after a man suffered a broken eye socket in a homophobic attack.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was assaulted outside Seamus O'Donnell's bar in St Nicholas Street, Bristol, at around 02:00 GMT on 20 January.

Avon and Somerset Police Ch Insp Vicks Hayward-Melen said officers want help to identify the men pictured, who they believe can help with their enquiries.

"Our investigation into this concerning incident is progressing," she said.

"If this is you, or if you know who any of the men are, please call us," she added.

The man who was assaulted said he was "blindsided" when he was punched in the face.

He told the BBC he was "worried" that those responsible had not been found.

"We're keeping the victim, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the owners of the Seamus O'Donnell's bar updated on the latest developments," Ms Hayward-Melen said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the force or Crimestoppers anonymously.
