A man has been jailed for seven years after raping a teenager, who now says she is "constantly looking over her shoulder".

Kaydon Hall, 20, pleaded guilty to rape and two counts of engaging in sexual activity with another victim, an underage girl.

He was an adult at the time he committed the offences in Bristol.

The second victim told the court "I cannot escape it. I want to be able to forget it and move on but I can't."

Hall was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on 22 March.

Sentencing Hall, Her Honour Judge Moira Macmillan told him his offending had had a huge impact on the victims' lives and their mental health.

The rape victim stated in her victim personal statement: "I know he is in prison but if I see anyone who looks like him I freak out and have to stop and tell myself it couldn't be him."

"But it still reinvigorates the memory of what he did," she added.

Hall was also made subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order. He will also be on the sexual offenders' register for life.

'Sickening'

Det Con Hannah Pinnell, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: "The extraordinary courage of these two young victims to report what happened to them and supporting the legal process cannot be understated.

"While the mental impact of what they were subjected to continues to affect their day-to-day lives, I hope in time they take great pride in what they have done in helping to bring this sexual predator before the courts."

She added: "Without their bravery, Kaydon Hall could still pose a danger to girls and women."

She said his "horrific crimes" were "sickening".

Det Con Pinnell encouraged anyone who had been a victim of a sexual offence to report it, adding: "You will be believed, we will investigate thoroughly and will do whatever we can to secure a conviction."
