RAF Harrier cut threatens Cambridgeshire training jobs

The Harrier jump jet aircraft is to be axed, putting a question mark over RAF Wittering in Cambridgeshire.
The Harrier training base, near Peterborough, is likely to be axed at the same time as the RAF aims to cut personnel by 5,000.
Once the "Home of the Harrier" the base is now a logistics hub with bomb disposal, catering and transport units.
PM David Cameron said the Army needed bases so closures were to be decided offering hope for RAF Wittering.
Peterborough would be hit by any severe cuts and the review comes a week after the city council revealed ambitious growth plans.
Council leader Marco Cereste last week announced "broad-brush" proposals to build 25,500 new homes and create 20,000 additional jobs between April 2009 and March 2026.
He said: "We want to enable a growing, thriving economy and make a better place for everyone who wants to live, work and play in our city."
