Plans to improve Peterborough United's football ground are being unveiled at the club's London Road stadium.

Local residents and football fans can see what the first stages of the development will look like from 1500 to 2100 BST on Tuesday.

Main improvements include the replacement of the Moys End with a 2,500 all-seater stand.

The new stand will also include a specialist education centre for 14 to 19-year-olds.

The developments are part of Peterborough City Council's aim to create a "community stadium".

The STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) education centre will be opened in spring 2013, with the new stand likely to be opened to football fans before that date.

"This community stadium is for the whole city, so I would encourage everyone to come to the exhibition and find out more about our proposals," said Marco Cereste, leader of Peterborough City Council.

Peterborough face Huddersfield in the League One play-off final at Old Trafford on Sunday.
