Macmillan illustration prizes go to Anglia Ruskin pair

Two students from Cambridge have come first and second in the Macmillan Prize for Children's Picture Book Illustration Awards.
Gemma Merino and Elys Dolan are studying for the MA in children's book illustration at Anglia Ruskin University.
It is the second year running that a student from the course has won the £1,000 first prize.
A further five students were highly commended by the judges.
Course leader Prof Martin Salisbury said the pair's success in such a prestigious competition was "a source of great pride for those of us involved with the course".
The news coincided with the announcement that the course has won major funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council for student scholarships at MA and PhD level.
Previous MA graduates who now work at Macmillan include Kazuno Kohara, Rebecca Patterson, Paula Metcalf, Marta Altes - and last year's Macmillan Prize winner Mike Smith.
