A 19-year-old woman has died after being trapped in a van which crashed into the River Nene in Cambridgeshire.

Natalie Scotchford, from Ramsey, was rescued from the water and taken to Peterborough City Hospital shortly after 04:00 BST but later died, police said.

She was in a Ford van which was found upside down in the river in Ramsey.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and taken to Huntingdon Police Station.
