About 50 firefighters are tackling a blaze at an industrial warehouse full of wood in Cambridgeshire.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said it was called to the "well-developed" fire on Brigstock Road in Wisbech at about 11:00 BST.

Crews have been concentrating on preventing the fire spreading to other parts of the building.

People have been asked to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed if they live close to the warehouse.

Station commander Jamie Johnson, the officer in charge, said: "We're hoping to make significant progress in the next few hours, but you will see a presence from the fire service for some time yet."

Firefighters from Norfolk have been drafted in to help fight the blaze.
