M11 lorry fire: Northbound carriageway remains closed

There is road surface damage on the northbound side of the M11
A stretch of the M11 was closed in both directions after a lorry caught fire.
Firefighters tackled the blaze between junction 10 for Duxford and junction 11 for Trumpington, after being called just after 05:30 GMT.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue, external incident commander Vinnie Crook said the lorry driver was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The southbound carriageway has been reopened, but the northbound remains closed due to road surface damage.

Mr Crook said the fire "fully engulfed the load of the trailer" and caused damage to all three carriageways.
"We've got three lanes of carriageway to repair and we're in the clean-up stages now, working with the Environment Agency, external and highways patrols," he said.

National Highways say the northbound carriageway is likely to remain closed for some time to allow for recovery and carriageway repairs.
