A 18-year-old man has been arrested after armed police responded to an incident.
Officers shut Audley Gate in Peterborough today after reports of "concerns for a man" at a property.
The man was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and false imprisonment. He is currently in custody, police said.
The road was closed for more than 14 hours but has now been re-opened.
Earlier, neighbours told the BBC they were woken up in the night just after 01:30 BST with "loud shouting".
Emergency services including ambulance crews and Cambridgeshire police officers were at the scene from 02:00 BST.

Resident Martin Moore said: "Our house backs onto Audley gate and my wife and I were woken up with loud shouting in the night. But it stopped after a little while.
"This morning I was out on my walk and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Huge police activity including dog units, armed police and ambulance service."
Cambridgeshire police said: "Police were called to Audley Gate, Netherton at about 02:00 BST this morning with concerns for a man in a house.
"Officers remained at the scene talking to the individual.
"There was a second individual in the property but they had since left the location.
"We can now confirm, an 18-year-old man from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and false imprisonment.
"He is currently in police custody."
