World War One grenade in Yaxley detonated in field
A specialist team was called to dispose of a World War One grenade after a man reported it was in his home.
A resident in Landsdowne Road in Yaxley, near Peterborough, contacted police on Sunday evening, Cambridgeshire Constabulary said.
The bomb was believed to be active and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, part of the British Army, performed a detonation at about 14:40 GMT on Monday.
It was destroyed in a field near to the man's house.
