A stolen lorry parked on a bend has been recovered by police.

The Scania lorry was spotted by motorists near Witchford, Cambridgeshire, on Wednesday evening.

The large vehicle was parked along the A142 with its engine still running.

Police discovered it had been stolen from a nearby recycling centre earlier that evening and urged drivers to "raise the alarm" if they encounter a similar situation.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson, said: "While it's not every day a Scania lorry is stolen, if you see vehicles like this, which wouldn't normally be driven around late at night, it's worth raising the alarm."
