About 100 cannabis plants were found in the loft and bedrooms at the house in Ely

A man has been arrested after police uncovered a cannabis factory in a city house.

Officers found about 100 cannabis plants in two bedrooms and the loft at a home in Elderberry Close in Ely, on Monday evening.

Cambridgeshire Police said a member of the public alerted it to the factory.

A 26-year-old man from Ely was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession of drugs. He remained in custody.
