The redevelopment of a science park has been approved despite concerns about the size of new facilities.

Melbourn Science Park in south Cambridgeshire will replace ageing research buildings according to developers.

The developer said the existing buildings were "no longer fit for purpose".

The plans were approved by South Cambridgeshire District Council's planning committee on Wednesday.
