Man pleads guilty to eight business burglaries in Cambridge

Robert Rust admitted eight business burglaries at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on 12 April

A man has admitted to burgling eight businesses.

Robert Rust, 36, of Stirling Road, Northstowe, Cambridge, admitted the counts at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on 12 April.

Police previously said there had been a spate of break-ins at businesses in Cambridge during March, including at takeaways and stores.

Rust has been remanded in custody for sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court on 6 May.

Another man has been given an 18-month suspended sentence in relation to two of the break-ins.
