Trees felled by high winds near Bodmin

High winds have brought down trees in a part of Cornwall, blocking a road.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they were forced to close the B3269 at Sweetshouse near Bodmin after a number of trees fell.

Engineers from Cornwall Council's highways department were out overnight clearing the trees and other debris. There were no reports of any injuries.

Gusts reached speeds of more than 60mph in parts of Devon and Cornwall overnight.
