Cornwall immigration raids: five arrested

Five illegal workers have been caught working at three restaurants in Cornwall in raids by immigration officials, the UK Border Agency says.
Three - a 25-year-old woman, a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy - were found in a Newquay Chinese restaurant.
A 31-year-old man from Thailand was found in another Newquay restaurant, and a 32-year-old Bangladeshi man was arrested at St Merryn Holiday Village.
The adults were to be deported, the agency said.
The teenager was released, pending an outstanding immigration application.
During the raid at the Chinese restaurant, a 26-year-old staff member tried to flush a wallet and mobile phone of one of the suspects down the toilet.
He was also arrested and given a police caution for obstructing an immigration officer, the agency said.
All three restaurants were facing fines of up to £10,000 for each illegal worker, it added.
