Almost £1.7m is being invested in a Cornish town to help redevelop two buildings.

The properties in St Austell are on High Cross Street and Cross Lane.

Cornwall's Convergence Partnership said the redevelopment would create six new jobs when solicitors, Stephens and Scown moved into the buildings.

The European Regional Development Fund is providing £944,000 of funding, with property investors D B Gilbert contributing £753,000.
