A ward at a hospital in Truro which shut over a complaint about patient care has now reopened.

The Royal Cornwall Hospital's 24-bed Wheal Agar ward, which specialises in older patients, was closed and staff suspended earlier in February.

Managers said an inquiry into the complaint, which related to one patient, was nearing completion.

However, the hospital refused to confirm how many staff were suspended over the allegation.

New patients were admitted to other wards in the hospital during the unit's closure.
