Former Cornwall fire vehicles to be given to Kosovo

Vehicles formerly used by Cornwall fire service are to be given to fire departments in Kosovo.
The three Land Rover vehicles will be driven 1,800 miles to Gjakovë, Pejë and Podujevë where some stations deal with up to 400 forest fires each year.
The vehicles are equipped with water tanks, hoses, breathing apparatus, ladders and hazardous chemical suits.
Rotary International and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) will start the drive to Kosovo on 11 May.
Barry Kressinger from Rotary International said: "Kosovo continues to struggle to rebuild its infrastructure following the devastating war with Serbia, in particular, fire fighting services are poor.
"Forest fires are a real problem during the hot summer months and very few fire stations have 4 x 4 vehicles to transport firefighters to the scene."
Rotary members from Bodmin, Falmouth, Launceston, St Ives Bay and Wadebridge as well as two members from CFRS will make the journey.
