Hundreds to take part in Truro's City of Lights parade

The City of Lights parade involves hundreds of school children
Giant lanterns made in Cornwall will be paraded through the streets of Truro during the annual City of Lights event.
The handmade withy and tissue lanterns will be carried by professional artists, school children and local community and youth groups.
Now in its 16th year, the City of Lights parade will coincide with the turning on of Truro's Christmas lights.
Evening roadworks on Trafalgar Roundabout in Truro will be halted until 23:00 GMT for the procession.
Every year the procession has a different theme, this year it is kings and queens. Organisers say more than 700 local school children will be taking part.
The procession, external is escorted through Truro's city centre by a variety of live music and dancing, including samba.
The parade starts at 19:00 GMT.
