Blaze destroys Summercourt leisure complex buildings

More than 40 firefighters tackled the blaze

Two buildings have been completely destroyed in a major fire at a leisure complex at a holiday resort.

The fire, at Carvynick Country Club in Summercourt, near Newquay, broke out in the early hours of the morning.

Residents reported seeing "smoke blowing across the road" as more than 40 firefighters tackled the blaze.

Police and paramedics also attended the scene but no-one is believed to be injured, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said.
