Cornwall police officer in court over misconduct charge

A police officer has appeared in court charged with misconduct in public office.

Christopher Wilson, 43, from Saltash, Cornwall, is accused of performing "an abuse of the public's trust" in December 2018 at Launceston.

The officer, who is currently suspended from Devon and Cornwall Police, did not enter a plea at Exeter Magistrates' Court.

He is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 27 November.
