The Coddy Shack fish and chip restaurant was devastated by the fire

People have been urged to keep their windows and doors closed, external due to a fire at a fish and chip restaurant.

Eight crews were sent to tackle the blaze in St Martin, Looe, Cornwall, at 03:25 BST on Tuesday, which forced the closure of the B3253 road.

The Coddy Shack restaurant and take-away has been devastated by the blaze and other buildings on the industrial site have also been affected.

The fire is now thought to be under control with no reported injuries.

The ambulance service, police and National Grid have been informed.
