Strikes by pilots flying passengers to and from the Isles of Scilly have been called off.

The Independent Pilots Association (IPA) said a resolution had been found between its members and Isles of Scilly Skybus Ltd.

Skybus pilots walked out during the summer after being offered a below-inflation pay rise.

The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, which operates Skybus, said it was "pleased a resolution has been agreed".

Skybus provides the only plane service connecting Scilly, about 28 miles (45km) off Cornwall, with mainland UK airports at Land's End and Newquay in Cornwall, and Exeter in Devon.

The IPA said: "Isles of Scilly Skybus and the Independent Pilots Association are pleased to advise that a resolution has been agreed between both parties.

"The IPA have now called off all forms of industrial action."
