If all required planning approvals are granted, the skatepark is due to be constructed by the end of 2025

Skateboarders and other riders in mid-Cornwall are being asked about proposed designs for a new skatepark.

The park is planned for Langarth Garden Village, near Truro, which may have up to 3,500 homes built over 25 years.

Project bosses said engineers from Maverick were asking local riders for feedback on the designs and "help to shape the construction to suit the needs of the local area".

The survey, on the company's website, external, is open until Friday 9 February.

Maverick, which has also designed and built skateparks in Newquay and St Ives, said concept ideas for the skatepark included three main areas: a combi bowl, a raised street area and a flowtrack.

Other matters connected with the planned village still need planning approval but, if granted, the skatepark was currently due to be constructed by the end of 2025, Maverick said.
