Bodmin murder trial: Fatal stabbing followed 'normal night' at club

The trial of three people accused of murdering a rugby player has heard it happened at the end of a "normal night" at a club.
Michael Riddiough-Allen, 32, was stabbed outside Eclipse on 30 April 2023, Truro Crown Court heard.
Club owner James Ward said there had been no problems prior to closing at 03:00 BST, before the stabbing.
Jake Hill, 25, Tia Taylor, 22, and Chelsea Powell, 22, all from Bodmin, deny murder.
Cameron Brown, who was on the door, said that shortly after the club closed he noticed about 40 people had gathered outside in two groups, the court heard.
He said it was soon after that he saw Mr Hill running into the middle of the crowd that "shouting turned to screaming".
The court heard that five other people were injured.
'No pulse'
The jury was told there had been about 200 people in the club that night and that most of the customers were regulars.
In a written statement, club owner Mr Ward said that he had never seen or met Mr Hill before that night.
He said anyone who assaulted staff was banned from the club for life, but he said Mr Hill was "not on the banned list".
He said there had been no issues prior to closing and that until that point it had been a "normal night."
Another member of security staff, Alaaeldin Ahmed, said he had been one of two people who tried to resuscitate Mr Riddiough-Allen.
In his written statement he said that when he reached him he "couldn't find any pulse at all".
Mr Hill denies a total of 12 charges including murder, attempted murder and wounding with intent.
Ms Taylor denies three charges including murder, the alternative of manslaughter and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Ms Powell denies the same three charges as Ms Taylor.
The trial continues.
