A beach clean is taking place across Cornwall for its seventh year.

The Love Your Beach weekend, organised by Cornwall Wildlife Trust, aims to encourage volunteers to clean rubbish from beaches across the county.

Organisers said it hoped the event would "enable people to feel empowered to make a difference to their local nature".

Katie Bellman, community engagement officer at Cornwall Wildlife Trust, said "anyone can get involved".

She said: "It's a true celebration of not only our amazing Cornish coastline, but also the incredible conservation effort from our local communities.

"The Your Shore Network local marine groups, who run the events over the weekend, are an excellent example of how people can come together with a shared passion for their local beaches and really make a difference."

Six beach cleans will take place, external on Saturday, and seven on Sunday.
