Cornwall Wildlife Trust's open gardens season begins

Ten private gardens across Cornwall are opening their gates to the public this year to support a wildlife charity.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust's open gardens season has begun and runs until the end of September.
It said there were two new gardens to explore this year - a wildlife refuge at Suffree Farm, near Probus, and a tropical garden at Trelan, in St Ives.
More than £130,000 has been raised for the charity through the events over the past 12 years, it said.
The events are held at private gardens throughout Cornwall, which owners open to the public to support the charity.
It said the gardens showcased wildlife-friendly habitats, including wildflower meadows, woodlands, board walks, ponds, walled gardens and orchards.
Sam Lucock, from the trust, said: "We will have wildlife experts available at the events, helping you to become emerged in the wonderful wildlife that Cornwall has to offer."
