Rugby hospital consultation to begin

Consultation is due to begin over proposals to stop a 24-hour urgent care service at a Warwickshire hospital.
Bosses at the Hospital of St Cross Rugby said it currently provided 24-hour care which got little use between 2200 BST and 0800 BST.
People are being asked if they want a 24-hour emergency nurse led service or a nurse led service with doctor back up between 0800 BST and 2200 BST.
The consultation is running until 18 October.
A spokesman said the hospital did not currently run a comprehensive 'Accident and Emergency' service, despite signage on roads saying it does.
New name
Option one, which is for the 24-hour emergency nurse led service, would have off-site doctor back up. The doctor would be based at University Hospital Coventry.
The 0800 BST to 2200 BST service would have a doctor based at the hospital in Rugby.
Professor Ian Philp, from NHS Warwickshire, said they wanted to clarify which services came from St Cross Hospital.
They also want the public to help choose a new name for the A&E department, he added.
The trust said the consultation would start on a date to be fixed.
