Council backs Coventry Airport development

Plans to create an enterprise zone at Coventry Airport have been backed by Warwick District Council.
Owner Sir Peter Rigby announced plans in April to invest £250m into the site in a scheme he said would create up to 10,000 jobs.
Plans include developing a technology office park and improving the passenger terminal and cargo facilities.
Financial problems forced previous owners West Midlands International Airport to close it in December 2009.
