Coventry driver diversions during work on route into centre

Motorists face diversions for three weeks due to work on part of a main route into Coventry city centre.
Holyhead Road is being improved in a scheme which includes replacing street lights.
Work will include changing the Barras Lane junction and a pedestrian crossing near Minster Road, the council said.
Closing a section of Holyhead Road for three weeks would be necessary partly because of the narrowness of the road at the Barras Lane junction, it added.
Diversion routes have been planned from Sunday, along Allesley Old Road and Radford Road.
