Coventry Olympic football fans help cardiac arrest man

A man who suffered a cardiac arrest while working near the City of Coventry stadium has been helped by a group of Olympic football fans.
He suffered an electric shock and fell from a ladder while working at the Coventry Building Society on Wednesday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said four people on their way to the South Africa versus Sweden women's football match performed lifesaving treatment.
The man was taken to hospital where he was in a critical condition.
'Quick actions'
WMAS said the people included two South African anaesthetists, a nurse who was an off duty sister from the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton and a member of St John Ambulance who started CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
A defibrillator was brought to the scene from a nearby supermarket and used before ambulance staff got there.
The man, in his thirties, was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
Murray McGregor from WMAS said: "Whilst the man is in a critical condition, the quick actions of the four at the scene have undoubtedly given him the best possible chance of survival."
