Coventry ring road demolition work begins

Junction six will be closed until about June 2015
Demolition work marking the start of a one-year project to transform part of Coventry's ring road is to begin.
It will be closed between junctions five and seven from 20:00 GMT until 06:00 GMT on Monday, while a road bridge is pulled down, the council said.
Junction six will remain closed at most times until June 2015 while further construction takes place.
The council said it hoped to minimise traffic disruption during the work.
'Fantastic first impression'
The work, part of the £59m Friargate project, will create a bridge linking the city centre and railway station.
Councillor Rachel Lancaster, Coventry City Council cabinet member for public services, said visitors arriving in Coventry by train were currently met by a "car park".
"We need to link our rail station with the city to create a fantastic first impression of Coventry," she said.
