Proposals include new double yellow lines banning waiting at any time at more than 30 junctions

Parking changes affecting more than 90 roads in Coventry could come into force early next year.

The proposed measures - including new double yellow lines prohibiting waits at more than 30 junctions - follow concerns about parking.

More than 90 changes are planned, with 17 opposed by local people.

A formal decision is due to be taken at a city council meeting on Monday over restrictions that would come in by the end of February.

The plans also include an extension to two resident parking schemes and in some areas, reducing double yellow lines.

Any changes are set to be brought in under a single Traffic Regulation Order made by the council, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

A total of 44 objections have been lodged along with nine statements of support.

Ten schemes have been recommended for approval by council officers after they considered and responded to objections.

A further four schemes are also recommended, but with the length of double yellow lines reduced.

Officers said three of the planned changes should be scrapped.
