Pedestrian dies after being hit by lorry on M6

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry on the M6 in Warwickshire, near Corley Services.

There was nothing paramedics could to help the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway between Junction 4A near Water Orton and Junction 3 near Coventry on Thursday afternoon.

The southbound section of carriageway was closed for more than seven hours.

The lorry driver was unhurt.
