Residents evacuated from their homes when their village flooded are invited to attend a forum on the matter.

Many villagers in Wolston, Warwickshire, were left seeking shelter in a pub after Storm Henk brought heavy rainfall earlier this month.

Some described conditions as biblical and said the village turned into a free-flowing river.

A parish council meeting at the baptist chapel is set to discuss recovery and flood prevention on Tuesday.

The Environment Agency, Severn Trent, the county council's flood management and highways teams and Rugby Borough Council's chief executive will attend.

During the storm on 2 January, some residents said they had not received sandbags from the local authority in time.

Villagers and councillors will be invited to discuss their experiences and raise any concerns they may have.
