Both women were sexually assaulted at Swanswell Park

Two women have been sexually assaulted in separate attacks at the same park.

At 01:00 GMT on 27 January, a man targeted an 18-year-old woman close to the entrance of Swanswell Park and Pool, near White Street and Primrose Hill Street in Coventry.

It followed an attack just after midnight on 21 January in which another woman, also 18, was assaulted by a man at the site.

West Midlands Police said both women were left "deeply distressed".

The force added that in the later assault, the attacker made off in the direction of Stoney Stanton Road.

He has been described as between 5ft 4in and 5t 9in tall, of slim build and aged between 20 and 30.

"We're dedicated to tackling violence against women and girls, putting those who have been subjected to these offences at the heart of this work and supporting them through every step of the journey," the force said.
