The Carlisle Youth Zone club is due to officially open in April

A project for young people in Cumbria has received £300,000 in National Lottery funding.

The Carlisle Youth Zone club in Victoria Place will spend the money over the next three years creating activities for people aged between 14 and 21.

The club is due to officially open in April.

It will provide sports, music, dance, drama and art facilities and a cafe, for young people across north Cumbria.
