Busy day for Lake District mountain rescue team
- Published
Lake District rescue volunteers had a busy Easter Sunday, with three call-outs in 24 hours.
One of the incidents the Keswick Mountain Rescue Team attended was a paraglider who had crash-landed onto some boulders.
The 43-year-old man suffered spinal, arm and wrist injuries and had to be airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary.
Both the other incidents, one in the early hours, involved walkers suffering from ankle injuries.
